Aiyanna is the youngest of the Reyne household. She was given every freedom that a life of comfort could provide. Skilled tutors, generous financial stipends, and no expectations to inherit the family holdings. Her tutors in the arcane arts, at the behest of her parents and unknown to Aiyanna, saw fit only to teach her spells that her parents deemed ‘safe.’
Aiyanna had other ideas, however. And took to frequenting various magic shoppes and hedge wizards looking to expand her repertoire. When her tutor discovered this, he quickly told her parents. He was surprised to find his employment ended, and Aiyanna has been on her own for furthering her education since.
She spent her life in Korvosa; her father a performer of Chelish Opera and her mother an accomplished painter. Her sister, Learis, took to the life of an adventurer early, and often accompanies trade caravans between Chelish, Varisian, and Shoanti mercantile interests as a translator.
She owns a modest apartment in Korvosa, on Harbourview Boulevard, near the wall between the Midland and North Point districts.
Recently her niece went missing while Learis was away and all that was found was her doll with spots of blood on it. After the the child’s body was found; and the authorities seemed to be getting nowhere, Aiyanna and her sister started looking for her themselves. They managed to corner a low level hireling of Gaedren’s and learned about his involvement in these activities. They found and confronted him, but when they realized how outnumbered they were and that there was almost no chance of assistance, they fled, to Gaedren and his lackeys’ mocking laughter.
The Fortune: THE SNAKEBITE
“Nothing is as it seems. Every mask has two sides. Even you! You are already weaving into the masquerade. In disease you will find health. In an enemy you will find a steadfast friend. And in a prison you will find your escape!”
“Remember well that it is a serpent’s nature to bite any hand that strays near. So, too, you will have the power to strike with surety and with the finality of the grave. When the time comes you will see as clear as day, but your enemies will be confounded as if in the deepest night.”
((your in game power is to see clearly the motives of one other Actor OR to completely mask your own motives and even presence from one other Actor))
((One use only))
((While masked you gain a Rogue’s backstab ability, even with spells and can make one spell unsave-able against that actor))
